Amazing Product

When I bought Sibelius 5 (Educational Edition), I already knew what this program was about because this is what we're using at my college. The only other music notation software I know is Finale, which I think is much less efficient. Sibelius resources are seemingly unlimited - the more I read the instruction guide, the more I find about it. Once you learn how to do a command, it's hard to forget it because it is so intuitive! I'd recommend any composer to delve into Sibelius 5 for a few weeks and see if they are not convinced!

Excellent product!

I ordered this for my son, and he initially had difficulty getting it to work, but he contacted tech support and cleared up the problem very quickly. He is very pleased with the program. It arrived promptly and in excellent condition. Thank you!

Three Versions Later and Still Looking For an Update that Works

This software is advertised as the end all music software, so much better than all the others. Well I've used Finale and other music writing software, and this one is no better than the rest. I bought this to use on my Mac G4, that runs 10.4.5. Sibelius sent me 5.1. and when the sound in the tutorials was coming out all garbled, I sent for the update, and they suggested 5.2. Now that I'm having problems with that, (you can't run it without installing the CDrom each time, they say get 5.2.5. Well here we go again, it won't install properly. For $250, Sibelius ought to be able to do better than this.

This was a gift for my youngest son. He has really enjoyed this software as he enjoys writing music.
