What musician wouldn't love it?

Sibelius is the premiere music writing/editing software in my opinion. It can do anything a musician would want. What a dream for those who are old enough to know the time other methods took.

Great product, but do your research

Sibelius 6 is possibly the very best music notation program on the market. I could not be more satisfied with the program. I would give it five stars, but I am rating the overall transaction with Amazon. I think Amazon needs to be more careful how they list Sibelius Competitive Crossgrade.

A competitive crossgrade is a term used to describe the purchase of a new, advanced program, when the customer can prove ownership of a competitor's program. After clicking through several screens on the Sibelius 6 website, I found that Finale was a crossgrade eligible product. I ordered the Sibelius 6 competitive crossgrade program from Amazon, and submitted the required documentation of my Finale "Print Music" program to Sibelius so I could activate Sibelius 6. Sibelius refused, as "Print Music", made by Finale, was not a qualifying product. The more powerful (and more expensive) program, Finale, was the product I needed to qualify for the crossgrade.

Since I had already purchased Sibelius 6, and wanted to use it, I had to buy Finale, which cost more than Sibelius 6, so I could send Finale the documentation and get Sibelius activated.

It became a very expensive process. I should have read the Sibelius website more carefully. Amazon's website says nothing about the requirements to qualify for a crossgrade in their product description. This information is only available on the Sibelius website.
